N&Q: Family investment deals…

The Clermont Group, a Singapore-based private investment group, has backed an Indian biotech group called Indiabulls Pharmaceuticals. Clermont has invested $24 million in the Mumbai-based group.

Teaghlach Family Office and Esping Family Office have backed a group called PatientPay, a US patient payment partner, in a $6 million funding round.

Histemi Inversiones, a Spanish family investment group, has backed ForceManager, a mobile sales accelerator platform based in Barcelona. The investment group backed ForceManager with four other investors in a Series B funding round worth $12 million.

Family-backed Tengelmann Ventures has invested in a Berlin-based startup called IDAGIO, which is a classical music streaming service. Tengelmann funded the group with two other investors in a Series A funding round worth €8 million.

Peter Thiel, one of Silicon Valley’s most successful entrepreneurs, is backing an Israel-based biotech company called ChemomAb. Thiel, along with three other investors, backed the group in a Series B funding round worth $10 million.
