Organisational consultancy increases efforts in family business arena, hires expert

Korn Ferry, the executive search consultancy, is adding more resources to its family business practice and has recruited Penny Webb as a senior client partner as part of its initiative.

Webb ran for 10 years her own advisory firm, Familias & Company, where she developed and delivered leadership and coaching programmes for privately owned businesses. In a statement, Webb said: “Korn Ferry has served more than 50% of all family firms in the European, Middle East and Africa region alone. With the addition of my expertise, Korn Ferry is poised to be an even bigger force in this critical sector of the world economy.”

Korn Ferry, along with Egon Zehnder, are the two main executive search consultants with dedicated family business teams.

Two weeks ago Family Capital reported on the professional services firm PWC hiring a four person team of family business experts from EY. These hires, along with the Korn Ferry initiative, show the growing amount of resources the big advisory firms are adding in the family enterprise sector.
