New German family office hires head

Jürgen Engelbrecht has been appointed head of a newly set up family office based in Grünwald, a town south of  Munich, according to local reports. Previously, Engelbrecht was director of private banking and wealth management at HypoVereinsbank in Munich. The name of the newly formed family office has yet to be disclosed.

Waypoint Capital hires ex-Fidelity investor

Waypoint Capital, Ernesto Bertarelli’s family investment and holding group, has appointed Cyrus Jilla to be CEO of Northill Capital, a subsidiary of Waypoint, according to a statement from the Geneva and London-based group. 

Jilla was previously CEO of Fidelity International’s Eight Roads Ventures. 

Bertarelli said in the statement: “While Cyrus’s initial focus will be on Northill Capital, we aim for him to have a broad remit over the long-term to help support and develop Waypoint’s other investment programmes.”

The Waypoint statement said Gordon McNair, who has served as Northill’s interim CEO since the departure last year of founder Jon Little, will return to his role as group chief financial officer. 

Pritzker Private Capital appoints new partner

PPC has appointed Thomas Leverton to co-lead its services team with Ryan Roberts. Leverton, according to a statement from PPC, has more than 25 years experience leading multi-location and services logistics companies. Most recently, he served as CEO of CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, well-known American restaurant chains.  

Leverton replaces Gregg Kaplan, who recently was appointed CEO of a PPC company, Valicor Environmental Services. 

Pritzker Private Capital’s current group of services companies include ENTACT, an environmental remediation and geotechnical construction services company; PECO Pallet, a pallet rental services and logistics group; and Valicor Environmental Services, one of North America’s biggest providers of non-hazardous wastewater treatment services.
