The Getty family-owned Getty Images is taking legal action against AI providers, saying they have undermined the value of 12 million photographic images it rents to third parties. According to court documents, it is seeking damages of up to $150,000 for each infringement, producing a maximum of $1.8 trillion to negotiate around.
