Ahmed Husain is joining Neuberger Berman to run their Europe, Middle East and Africa family office business and will be based in London. Previously, he headed Lombard Odier’s family office unit. Husain has first-hand experience working with family offices, having helped set up Patrick Drahi’s family office, Altice Capital. Husain also spent eight years at Goldman Sachs.

Peter Brock is leaving EY in September where he led its family office services in Europe. He will be joining as yet an unspecified family office. He told Family Capital that in his new role, he will: “will continue to advise on family governance, family office set-up projects and on direct investments/M&A deals as part of intergenerational wealth management strategies for entrepreneurial families.”

At EY he worked as part of a team linked to the firm’s family business centre of excellence on a service offering for UHNWIs, entrepreneurial families and family offices. Prior to EY, Brock was a partner at the M&A boutique IMAP. He has also worked at private bank Sal. Oppenheim, HSBC Trinkaus, and WestLB Group in London.

Omar Butt has joined JP Morgan in London to be vice president of the bank’s family office and family business unit. Butt joins the US bank to develop its business with family offices and businesses in the UK, with a focus on sourcing deals.

He joins from PwC where he was head of the family office and private capital group within its M&A unit. Butt led the coverage, origination and execution of deals for family offices, private investment vehicles, and family businesses. He also assisted PwC’s global funds’ advisory team on raising general funding with the family capital base of limited partners.

UBS Group has hired Susan Elolampi from JPMorgan to work with private equity firms and lead investment banking for family offices in the Americas, according to a Bloomberg report. She will be based in New York City.
