Pohlad Companies, the family investment group of the Pohlad family, has appointed Elizabeth Lilly as chief investment officer for Marquette Companies, a holding company that is part of the Pohlad Companies. She replaces Jann Ozzello Wilcox, who is retiring.
Lilly joins from her own investment firm Crocus Hill Partners, which she set up in 2017. She also spent time at Goldman Sachs and worked with Warren Buffett. Lilly will report to Bert Colianni, chief executive officer for Marquette Companies, as well as to Jim Pohlad, family leader with oversight for investing.
Based in Minneapolis, Pohlad has numerous investments in many sectors including top car dealerships, manufacturing and consumer groups, investment specialists, and venture.
The family’s fortune was made by Carl Pohlad, a financier and entrepreneur. He died in 2009 and his three sons, Robert, Jim, and William, currently oversee the family office.
