Family office Serruya Private Equity, which is owned by the Canadian Serruya family, has acquired Atlanta-based Global Franchise Group, which owns a number of retail food businesses, including Great American Cookies and Round Table Pizza. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but GFG was valued at around $700 million earlier last year, according to media reports. Serruya Private Equity co-invested with Lion Capital, a UK private equity group.
