Deal of the Week: Principal investment groups back novel room service startup

Butler Hospitality, a New York City on-demand platform for room service and amenities, has been backed by two principal investment groups.

The Kraft Group, a holding and investment group owned by Robert Kraft and his family, and  Mousse Partners, an investment group owned by Charles Heilbronn, invested in the Series A round worth $15 million for Butler Hospitality. Two other institutional investors also joined the round. The Kraft Group backed Butler Hospitality in an early round.

Set up in 2016, Butler Hospitality centralizes room service ordering for New York City hotels on one platform. Effectively, it takes over the kitchens of hotels “and transforms them into delivery hubs that provide virtual room service to nearby full, limited- and select-service hotels.”

According to the company, Butler Hospitality has received $20 million in funding and is now worth $80 million.

Butler Hospitality plans to use the new funding to launch its services in Chicago, Miami, and Washington D.C.
