This week’s family/private investment office deals

Unspecified Rounds

Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries together with Louis Bacon’s Moore Strategic Ventures, and Todd Boehly’s Eldridge, have invested in Blockchain.com, a cryptocurrency trading platform. The three investors joined four others in a commitment worth $120 million for the London-based group.  

Invus, a New York City-based investment business backed by Eric Wittouck, Belgium’s richest individual, has invested in Sagimet Biosciences, a biotech group. Invus was one of eight investors committing $80 million to the Californian company. 

Seed

Kaducaio Holding, a Brazilian family office of unknown ownership, has invested in Final Level, a gaming platform. Kaducaio was one of five investors committing R$8.5 million to the Brazilian startup. 

Presight Capital, a New York City-based venture group owned by German investor Christian Angermayer, has invested in Valoreo, an e-commerce platform. Presight was one of seven investors committing $50 million to the Mexican startup. 

Vulcan Capital, Jody Allen’s Seattle-based investment group, has invested in Ozette Technologies, a life-science data group. Vulcan was one of three investors committing $6 million to the New York City-based startup.  

166 2nd Financial Services, the family office of WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann, has invested in Unybrands, an e-commerce platform. 166 2nd was one of seven investors seeding the Miami-based group with $25 million. 

EQT Ventures, the Wallenberg family-backed venture fund, has invested in Colossi Games,  a mobile game developer. EQT was one of two investors seeding the Cyprus-based startup with $2.5 million. 

Winklevoss Capital, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss’s investment group, together with Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, an investment group owned by Joshua Harris and David Blitzer, prominent private equity specialists, have invested in Artie, a platform for next-gen mobile games. The two investors joined 16 others for a commitment worth $10 million for the Los Angeles-based startup. 

Series A

CPT Capital, the UK investment office of Jeremy Collar, together with Happiness Capital, an investment office set up Sammy Lee Wai Sum, whose family own Lee Kum Kee International Holdings, a Hong Kong-based food company, and The Losa Group, a Guatemala City-based investment office owned by the Bosch Gutiérrez family, have invested in Redefine Meat, which uses 3D printing technology, meat digital modelling. The three groups alongside three other investors committed $29 million in the Israel-based group.  

RIT Capital Partners, the UK investment trust owned by Jacob Rothschild, has invested in Ensomaa, a biotech group. RIT was one of eight investors committing $70 million to the Boston-based group. 

Duquesne Family Office, the family office of Stanley Druckenmiller, has invested in Immunai, a biotech company. Duquesne was one of six investors committing $60 million to the New York City-based group. 

Series B

Declaration Partners,  David Rubenstein’s investment office, has invested in Axiom Space, a space development company. Declaration was one of 14 investors committing $130 million to the Texas-based group. 

Series C 

PremjiInvest, Azim Premji’s family office, has invested in KreditBee, a digital lending platform. PremjiInvest was among four investors committing $75 million to the Indian fintech.
