Unspecified Rounds

Darren Blanton’s Dallas-based Colt Ventures, together with Peter Thiel, probably through his investment office, Thiel Capital, have invested in Rumble, a video publishing company. The two investors joined one other investing an unspecified amount to the Toronto-based group

Seed

Geneva-based Jabre Capital Partners, an investment group set up by the former hedge fund manager Philippe Jabre, has invested in Flux Protocal, a blockchain/cryptocurrency platform. Jabre Capital was one of 17 investors committing $10.3 million to the Swiss-based startup. 

Titan Capital, a private investment office set up by Snapdeal (an Indian e-commerce platform) founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bans, has invested in Cuvette Tech, a software company. Titan was one of three investors committing INR13 million to the Indian-based group. 

Bernina BioInvest, a Swiss investment group set up by biotech entrepreneur and investor Bettina Barbara Ernst, has invested in HAYA Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company. Bernina BioInvest was one of six investors committing CHF18 million to the Swiss-based group.  

Series A 

Invus, a New York City-based investment business backed by Eric Wittouck, one of Belgium’s richest individuals, has invested in Engine Biosciences, a biotech company. Invus was one of 11 investors committing $43 million to the San Francisco-based group. 

Bremer Investments, a South African investment and holding group owned by the Bremer family, has invested in LifeQ, a healthcare group. Bremer was one of 19 investors committing $47 million to the US-based group.  

Hedgewood, the Canadian investment office of Jesse Rasch, has invested in Vestor, a veterinary platform. Hedgewood was one of three investors committing C$12.3 million to the Toronto-based group. 

Breakthrough Energy Ventures, the Bill Gates’ backed cleantech investment group, and Grok Ventures, the investment office of tech billionaire Michael Cannon-Brookes, have invested in WeaveGrid, which develops electrification software for electric vehicles. The two investors were among six committing $15 million to the San Francisco-based group. 

Time Ventures, the investment office of Marc Benioff, and Astanor Ventures, a Belgium based venture investment fund founded by Eric Archambeau, have invested in Cervest, a cloud-based provider of AI-powered climate intelligence. The two investors were among six investors committing £16 million to the UK-based group. 

Thorney Investment, owned by Alex Waislitz, a Melbourne-based businessman, together with Gandel Invest, owned by Tony Gandel, an Australian investor, have invested in Artrya, a healthcare group. The two investors were among five committing $15 million to the Australian-based group. 

Series B 

Keller Enterprise, a family investment and holding company set up in 1998 by Caroline Murphy Keller Winter, has invested in Pearl Certification, which provides third-party certification of healthy, safe, comfortable, energy, and water-efficient homes. Keller was one of four investors committing $9.5 million to the Virginia-based group. 

Series C 

Invus, a New York City-based investment business backed by Eric Wittouck, one of Belgium’s richest individuals, has invested in NiKang Therapeutics, a biotech group. Invus was one of 21 investors committing $200 million to the Delaware-based group. 

Astanor Ventures, a Belgium based venture investment fund founded by Eric Archambeau, has invested in ProducePay, an agriculture fin-tech platform. Astanor was one of eight investors committing $43 million to the Los Angeles-based group. 

Series D 

Omidyar Technology Ventures, an investment group owned by Pierre and Pam Omidyar, has invested in Akili, a biotech group. Omidyar was one of 16 investors committing $110 million to the Boston-based group. 

Series E 

Moore Strategic Ventures, Louis Bacon’s investment group, has invested in Workrise, a marketplace for skilled labour in the energy industry. Moore Strategic was one of eight investors committing $300 million to the Austin-based group. 

Evans Properties, a family holding and investment group owned by the Evans family and based in Flordia, has invested in TerViva, an agricultural technology company. Evans Properties was one of 11 investors committing $54 million to the Californian-based group.
