This week’s family/private investment office deals

Private Equity

Bregal Partners has invested in Oggi Foods, a manufacturer of gluten-free, organic, non-GMO frozen pizza. Bregal committed an undisclosed amount to the Montreal-based group. 

Unspecified Deals 

Venrock, Declaration Partners, and Lupa Systems have invested in Rebellion Defense, which provides artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. The three investors were among five committing $150 million to the Washington DC-based group. 

Vikramaditya Mohan Thapar Family Trust has invested in Boutique Spirit Brands, a drinks company. The family trust was one of five investors committing INR200 million to the Indian group. 

Seed

Morales Capital has invested in Innovare, an edtech platform. Morales was one of four investors committing $3 million to the Chicago-based startup. 

Skip Capital has invested in Delegate Connect, a virtual events platform. Skip was one of five investors committing A$10 million to the Melbourne-based startup. 

Series A

Leslie Ventures and Kuelbs Family Office have invested in Elevian, a biotech group. The two investors were among four committing $40 million to the Massachusetts-based group. 

American Investment Holdings has invested in 6AM City, a digital media group. American Investment was one of five investors committing $5 million to the South Carolina-based group.  

Bessemer Venture Partners has invested in  Daylight, a coding platform. Bessemer was one of three investors committing CA$15.7 million to the Toronto-based group. 

Thiel Capital has invested in Chapter, a healthcare insurance group. Thiel was one of seven investors committing $17 million to the New York City-based group. 

L Catterton has invested in Niio, a digital art distribution network. L Catterton was one of five investors committing $15 million to the Israel-based group. 

Series B 

Groupe Artémis invested in Grailed, a fashion e-commerce platform for men. Artémis was one of five investors committing $60 million to the New York City-based group. 

Byggmästare A J Ahlström has invested in Volta Trucks, an automotive company making electric trucks. Byggmästare was one of four investors committing €37 million to the Swedish group. 

Aglaé Ventures has invested in Skello, a payroll platform.  Aglaé was one of three investors committing €40 million to the Paris-based group. 

F-Prime Capital has invested in NOCD, an online therapy platform. F-Prime was one of six investors committing $33 million to the Chicago-based group. 

Whiteboard Capital has invested in FloBooks, a mobile billing app for Indian SMBs. Whiteboard was one of 15 investors committing $31 million to the Indian-based group. 

Blue Pool Capital has invested in HomeCourt, an interactive basketball app. Blue Pool was one of 12 investors committing $25 million to the San Jose, California-based group. 

Bessemer Venture Partners has invested in Sorare, a global fantasy football game. Bessemer was one of 17 investors committing $579.7 million to the Paris-based group. 

Casdin Capital has invested in Hexagon Bio, a biotech group. Casdin was one of six investors committing $61 million to the Californian-based group. 

Series C 

Kinnevik has invested in Spring Health, a healthcare group. Kinnevik was one of 11 investors committing $190 million to the New York City-based group. 

Moore Strategic Ventures and WndrCo have invested in Omaze, an online fundraising platform for charities. The two investors were among 12 committing $85 million to the Los Angeles-based group. 

WndrCo, WestCap, and Thiel Capital have invested in FLYR Labs, an AI platform for airlines. The three investors were among seven committing $150 million to the San Francisco-based group. 

Bessemer Venture Partners has invested in Provi, an e-commerce platform. Bessemer was one of five investors committing $75 million to the Chicago-based group. 

Ackermans & van Haaren has invested in Medikabazaar, an online B2B marketspace for medical supplies and equipment. Ackermans was one of 10 investors committing INR4.3 billion to the Indian group. 

Series D 

Foris Ventures has invested in Tradesy, a luxury fashion resale platform. Foris was one of two investors committing $67 million to the Santa Monica-based group. 

Series E

Prelude Ventures, Tao Capital Partners, and Euclidean Capital have invested in Ripple Foods, which specializes in making non-dairy milk. The three investors were among nine committing $60 million to the Californian-based group. 

Series F 

Moore Strategic Ventures, Exor Seeds and DST Global have invested in CARS24, an e-commerce platform for pre-owned cars. The three investors were among six committing $340 million to the Indian group.
