William A. M. Burden & Co is the oldest continuously running single-family office in the world. Founded in 1949 by William Burden, a descendant of Cornelius Vanderbilt, as an investment group to manage the family’s fortune, William A.M. Burden & Co remains today a single-family office overseeing just the money of the descendants of its founder.
